Hi, I’m Benetta Ward.

In this work, my goal to support you and empower you to feel safe, supported and heard in your journey.

Our Approach

Nurturing Nature Birth Institute was created from a deep understanding that care must be both skilled and humane. As a nurse, doula, and public health professional, Benetta brings together clinical knowledge, lived experience, and culturally grounded practices to support families and birthworkers through meaningful, transformative work.

This space exists to honor the full spectrum of care: supporting families through fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum, while also educating and holding space for birthworkers and organizations committed to more equitable, holistic approaches.

Care & Education

Benetta’s approach is rooted in nurturing the whole person. Whether supporting a family through birth or guiding a room of practitioners, the work centers listening, consent, cultural awareness, and practical tools that can be applied in real life—not just theory.

Lasting impact

Care is never rushed, one-size-fits-all, or disconnected from lived experience. Education is grounded, accessible, and shaped by the communities being served. The goal is always the same: to create care that feels safe, affirming, and sustainable.
